Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill’s availability for Monday’s game against the host Los Angeles Rams is in question because he is dealing with a wrist injury, head coach Mike McDaniel said.

“He’s doing everything he can, he’s a competitor, so we’ll see how he reacts. I’m just trying to get him to game day. He’s prepared, and if his body allows him to, he’ll play, but we’ll see,” McDaniel told reporters Saturday morning.

“All I know is that I know nothing, as Socrates would say. I’m optimistic that he’ll do everything he can, but we’ll see. I wouldn’t say I was optimistic or pessimistic about it.”

Hill was added to the injury report Friday after failing to participate in practice.

Hill, 30, has 34 catches for 446 yards and a touchdown in eight games this season for the Dolphins (2-6).

The Dolphins restructured Hill’s three-year, $90 million contract in early August. His first two seasons in Miami have been excellent: a career-high 119 catches over the two seasons, 1,710 receiving yards in 2022 and a league-best 1,799 last season, and a total of 20 touchdown receptions.

Hill is an eight-time Pro Bowler — starting with six straight berths with the Kansas City Chiefs before being traded to the Dolphins after the 2021 season.
