Adams was picked up by the Jets in a midseason trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, and he had a successful stint with the team, hauling in 64 passes for 854 yards and seven touchdowns. However, while free agency doesn’t officially open until March 12, Adams can sign with a new team whenever he wants due to the timing of his release. “Davante Adams can now sign with another team. He does not have to wait,” James Palmer of Underdog Sports shared in a post on X. While Adams is set to enter his age 33 season, he proved he could still be productive in 2024. Rumors suggest he could eye a reunion with Rodgers, who is also set for free agency this offseason. If that doesn’t pan out, Adams could find himself landing with a west coast team according to various reports.

Not to say that it was last season, but as things stand, Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, Malachi Corley, and Xavier Gipson loom as the key offensive weapons in the passing game for 2025. That isn’t ideal. … and the failure to develop somebody here leads to a fair criticism of the organization. For NFL.com’s Kevin Patra, finding another running mate for Wilson is a must this offseason. “We didn’t see enough from Corley to judge whether he’s inadequate or simply ill-used by the last regime,” Patra writes. “I’m willing to give
him a mulligan for a three-catch rookie season and see what he can become under head coach Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand. It might not be a top priority in New York — i.e. QB — but adding another weapon alongside Wilson is key.” Exactly how the Jets do that is unknown, especially with quarterback being another key priority. The draft looms as the most likely place to get a solid No. 2 receiver for Wilson, and as for free agency, the likes of Marquise Brown, Keenan Allen, Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks, and maybe Chris Godwin could all be seen as options, but money will be a sticking point.
