Daniel Levy is by no means a popular man in North London.
Spurs supporters have made it perfectly clear that they want the 62-year-old out of Tottenham after countless failures on the pitch. However, what nobody can take away from Levy, is his ability in the boardroom.
Since moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs have become a financial powerhouse.
And it looks as though the North London club are set to once again strike a lucrative agreement, thanks in part to Manchester United co-owners INEOS.
Tottenham seek new sponsors as INEOS plan to end agreement
As reported by the Daily Mail (19 February), INEOS have held discussions with Spurs as they look to make an early exit from their sponsorship agreement with the North London club.
The five-year deal, signed in 2022, is thought to be worth several millions per season, with INEOS looking to cut costs across their sporting portfolio.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks ending the agreement early could in fact benefit Spurs, who are set to profit in two different ways from any termination with Levy backed to strike a deal with Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

“There is a contract here and Tottenham haven’t done anything wrong,” Wenham said.
“They haven’t breached their side of the agreement. Therefore, they will only step back once they have a more lucrative deal lined up. Any new deal with a new sponsor is going to be a higher value contract anyway because Spurs signed this deal with INEOS several years ago now, and time has moved on, and prices are going up.
“Tottenham could end up making a lot of money from this because they will charge INEOS a termination fee, and they will also secure a longer and more financially rewarding deal with a different sponsor.”

Levy should look to agree a termination fee with INEOS
If Tottenham can find a sponsor willing to pay more money than INEOS, on a longer-term deal, ending their agreement with Ratcliffe’s company early could make sense.
It would allow them to make more money in the long-term, while being handed a short-term boost in the form of a termination fee from INEOS.
And if anybody can strike another lucrative sponsorship deal in North London, it is Levy.
