Leeds Eyeing ‘Nightmare to Play Against’ Striker He Wants to Join…

Leeds United £100m transfer truth as new squad reality emerges..

Leeds United are on course to return to the Premier League despite seeing a host of star players depart.

Former Leeds United star Ian Harte believes the Whites have a better team this season despite seeing over £100m worth of players depart the club in the summer. Having missed out on promotion last year with the highest number of league wins by any side who didn’t go up, Daniel Farke spent the summer watching on as players of the quality of Georginio Rutter, Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville left the club for the Premier League.

Leeds made additions, but the success this season has been more about the team performances than the individuals on show, with Summerville’s goals often stealing the headlines last season for example.

Knowing what it takes to play in a good Leeds side, Harte says the team ethic and the manner of the performances this season are evidence this team is better placed to win promotion given they are a better unit.

Speaking to OnlyLeedsBros, Harte said; “If I’m being honest I think it’s a better team this year than it was last year. I think there was individuals last year you had Rutter, Archie and Summerville great individual talents.

“But I think Daniel has got them playing unbelievable football and a better team unit this year. Hopefully, I think they’ll go on and win the league.”

Harte’s verdict is backed up by the statistics which show Leeds are three points better off this season after 33 games played than they were last year at this stage.
