It’s safe to say the season hasn’t gone the way the Phoenix Suns had envisioned. The Suns got a huge win Tuesday night when they rallied from 23 points down to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers, thanks in large part to Kevin Durant’s 34-point outing. Still, the Suns are 29-33 and the No. 11 seed in the Western Conference. They sit 2.5 games behind the No. 10 seed Dallas Mavericks for the last spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament. The month of February was particularly brutal for the Suns. They entered the month with a 25-22 record but went 3-10, including two three-game losing streaks and a four-game losing streak. It’s almost sure that the Suns will work out a trade this summer, but it remains to be seen which team he could end up on. Durant doesn’t have a no-trade, so while the organization will likely want to do right by him, it doesn’t need his approval. NBA Insider Brian Windhorst appeared on ESPN’s “Get Up,” and the subject of Durant’s next team came up. “Another small market team to watch: the Minnesota Timberwolves,” Windhorst said. “Ant Edwards and KD very tight connection from the Olympics.
